Now scientists in the United States have invented a new method - the “nearly anaerobic air” pest control method to eliminate warehouse pests. Based on the principle that “pests need oxygen”, this method suffocates the pests by filling the chamber with almost oxygen-free air. Scientists produce “near-anaerobic air” by “igniting” a mixture of propyne and natural air (1:10). After the mixture burns, oxygen is destroyed, reducing it from 21% in the air to 1%.
