随着科学技术的进步和社会信息的激增,知识信息的传递方式也在不断地变革和进步,传递的内容越来越丰富,数量越来越大,发展的速度越来越快。有人估计,近二十年来发表的文献,比历史上二千年的文献总和还要多。人们把当今这种文献量激增的情况称为“情报爆炸”。这种“情报爆炸”给情报文献的搜集、保管和利用带来了许多新的问题,从而引起了人们的普遍关注。面对这种情况,应该采取什么样的对策和措施,的确是一个很值得探讨的课题。
