以“虚词分析法”为基础的《科技英语速成读本》(吴朔平编著,新时代出版社出版,以下简称《读本》)已发行二十余万册。全国各地以此为教材开办的英语训练班已有数十处。参加过学习的科技人员大都认为对他们有帮助。不少单位和个人希望了解或尝试这种新的教学方法。为此,航天工业部第二研究院教育处曾约请现任中央电视台电视大学教员穆小芒同志讲授《读本》基本内容,同时组织了录象。录象教材由穆小芒同志编定,讲授60小时。在这次组织录象教学时,作者又对《读本》作了适当补充说明。 以虚词分析法为基础讲授英语有别于传统的外语教学方法。作者为探索这种新方法倾注过多年的心血。时至今日,这位老科学家仍在埋首伏案为新方法的日臻完善而辛勤劳碌。实践证明,这种新方法对希望在较短时间内掌握阅读英文专业资料的能力的科技人员来讲,效果是显著的。那些已有一定英语基础,期望进一步提高长句难句分析能力的科技人员,也从中受益匪浅。这里发表的是组织录象教学时,作者为学习班讲述的引言内容,供各界关心这种新教学法的同志参阅。 文中角标内的“上、下”以及数字分别表示《读本》上册、下册和页码。
Based on the “Methodology of Functional Words Analysis”, “Quick Reading of Science and Technology English” (edited by Wu Shuoping and published by New Times Press, hereinafter referred to as “Reader”) has been issued more than 200,000 copies. Dozens of English language training courses have been offered as teaching materials throughout the country. Most of the science and technology personnel who have attended the study think they are helpful. Many units and individuals want to know or try this new teaching method. To this end, the Second Research Institute of Aerospace Industry Education Department had requested the current CCTV teacher Mu Xiaomeng teach “reading” the basic content, while organizing the video. Video materials by Comrade Mu Xiaomang, teaching 60 hours. In this video recording teaching, the author made an appropriate supplement to the “Reader”. The method of using virtual words analysis to teach English is different from the traditional method of foreign language teaching. The author has devoted many years to exploring this new method. To this day, the old scientist is still lying on his desk trying hard to improve the new method. Practice has proved that this new method is of great significance for scientists and technicians who want to acquire the ability to read English professional materials in a relatively short period of time. Those who already have a certain degree of English and are looking forward to further enhancing their ability to analyze long sentences have benefited as well. What is published here is the introduction of the content that the author describes for the class during the organization of video teaching for reference of all walks of life who care about this new teaching method.
