鞍本地区是我国最重要的沉积变质型铁矿区,探明储量几乎占我国铁矿储量的四分之一.本文是利用航磁资料研究鞍本地区基底构造的一个尝试,主要是在分析航磁资料的基础上,研究后期构造对含矿岩系的破坏作用.通过恢复原始磁场,指出控制本区含铁岩系展布的原始构造——鞍本弧形构造存在的可能性,并粗浅地讨论了这一认识的地质找矿意义.
