In the era of globalization and diversification, a large number of exotic products of Western culture, such as the Japanese Culture of the United States, the works of Disney Europe and Marvel, the Western festivals, etc., are affecting and changing the life style and ideological concepts of primary and secondary school students. How to allow local cultural values to be brought into play in the globalization of cultural trends is a question that our contemporary people should face. The school will become an important institution for the inheritance and development of Chinese culture and is the key to inheriting and developing the intangible cultural heritage of China. This article takes the Miao culture as a case study in the perspective of non-material culture, explores the significance of the Miao culture integration of Miao painting, paper-cutting, Miao embroidery, etc. in Miao primary and middle school art classrooms, and promotes the inheritance and development of Miao traditional culture. It is hoped that this study will not only be beneficial to the inheritance of the Miao nationality’s cultural heritage, but also promote the reform of cultural education and the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage, and will make our country’s culture stand in the forefront of the world.
