概率统计是中学数学的主要内容之一.但长期以来,因其思想方法的特殊、理论基础的高深,使得在教学过程中常偏重于几个模型的应用而忽视对学生进行数学思想方法的熏陶.例如,在概率部分,只孤立地提供了两个基本概型,学生的学习多是按部就班地验证条件,套用公式解题.他们对这部分内容所涉及的数学思想方法并没有亲身感受,也谈不上理解和体验它们之间的深刻联系,更谈不上灵活自如地解决一般的概率问题.
