语篇是指实际使用的语言单位,是一次交际过程中的一系列连续的话段或句子所构成的语言整体。语篇整体分析是指语篇层次上的教学分析。在中学英语教学中,把握现行教材,运用语篇整体分析教学法对所选语言材料从篇章结构,写作特点,文章体裁,修辞手段等方面进行整体分析,使学生不仅仅停在词汇意义、语法结构上的理解,而要对语篇进行深层结构的理解,准确有效的把握语篇的主旨和要点,从而发展和提高学生理解和运用英语的能力。
