冀晋区是抗战后期根据中共中央指示而重新划分的一个战略区,区文联主编的《新群众》主要是配合《冀晋日报》,加强该区的文教宣传、干部训练及群众动员工作。为了尽快发动冀晋区群众,《新群众》号召区乡干部学习和贯彻毛泽东的群众观和社会调查精神,并为他们克服事务主义提供更多细节性的指导。同时,《新群众》积极在文教工作上探索组织群众的形式,把在各个乡镇推行乡艺运动作为工作重点。以《新群众》为代表的解放区宣教刊物坚决落实毛泽东的群众文艺观,使文艺为群众服务,配合中心政治任务,成为现实斗争的有力武器。
The “new mass” of Hebei and Jindian is a strategic area re-divided according to instructions from the CPC Central Committee during the anti-Japanese war. The “new mass” chiefly compiled by the District Federation of Literary and Art Circles is to cooperate with “Ji Jin Daily” and strengthen cultural, educational, cadre training and mass mobilization work in the area. In order to mobilize the masses in Hebei and Jin-Jin areas as soon as possible, the “new masses” called for district and township cadres to study and implement Mao Zedong’s mass and social investigation spirits and provide them with more detail guidance in overcoming them. In the meantime, the “new masses” have actively explored the forms of organizing the masses in their cultural and educational work and put the implementation of the nongovernmental sports in all towns and towns as the focus of their work. The Jiefang District education and publicity journals, represented by “the new masses”, firmly implement Mao Zedong’s concept of mass literature and art, and make literature and art serve the masses and the central political tasks and become a powerful weapon in the real struggle.
