革命旧址是革命活动的遗存,重要的革命活动地区,保存着较多的革命旧址,形成旧址群,它不仅有周围的环境,还有周边的环境,都应当得到保护。革命旧址多处在建筑环境之中,要保护原有建筑形成的空间格局和历史风貌,关键在于控制建设,不仅要控制其他建设工程,也要控制相关的建设工程。与旧址相关的设施建设,应避开革命旧址群,尽量少建设,多利用现有的建筑物。革命旧址展示以旧址复原陈列位主,辅助性陈列,可视条件而定,最好利用暂不开放的旧址。
