Trying to explore how to improve mathematical literacy and innovation and practical ability of students in vocational colleges based on mathematical modeling activities. According to the status quo of math education in higher vocational colleges, this paper expounds the function and significance of carrying out mathematical modeling activities and puts forward the concrete implementation plan of training students’innovation and practical ability.
