魏晋玄学是对两汉儒学及礼教的反动,但是同为两晋时期的两大较有影响的学术思想,两晋玄学与礼学却存在着一种双向互动的关系。一方面两晋礼学受到了玄学多方面的影响:两晋礼学家以情释礼的阐释路径的确立是两晋礼学家对于玄学主题自然与名教之辩的自觉回应的结果;两晋礼学家以议礼的形式对古礼制度进行重释,在讨论相关礼制议题中体现出了重义理、尚博通的学术品格,乃是对玄学清谈方式及玄学品格的效仿。另一方面,礼学的务实学风也对东晋玄学流于空疏,远离政治的流弊起到了一定程度的矫正作用。这使得东晋玄学在玄佛合流的大趋势下仍然能够保持对于现实伦常的关注。玄学在南朝复归于儒学正是东晋时期玄学与礼学的长期互动的结果。
Metaphysics in Wei and Jin Dynasties was reactionary to Confucianism and Confucianism and etiquette in the two Han Dynasties. Metaphysics returned to Confucianism in the Southern Dynasties was the result of the long-term interaction between Metaphysics and Ceremony in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
