《宠儿》是美国黑人女作家托尼·莫里森的代表作,并为其赢得了诺贝尔文学奖。《宠儿》自问世以来,受到广泛关注。这部作品的一个显著特征就是隐喻性语言的应用,深刻地揭示了作品的主题。本文试图从认知角度出发,针对小说中的主要意象进行分析,揭露19世纪奴隶制的罪恶,以及黑人如何在苦难的冲击下,仍然寻找着自我精神的独立与重获自我的希望。
Beloved is a masterpiece of African American woman writer Tony Morrison and won the Nobel Prize for Literature. “Beloved” since its inception, has received widespread attention. A prominent feature of this work is the application of metaphorical language, revealing the theme of the work in a profound way. This article attempts to analyze the main images in the novels from the perspective of cognition, reveal the evil of slavery in the 19th century, and how black people are still searching for the hope of self-reliance and self-recovery under the impact of suffering.
