铜兰蛋白是人体血浆中一种含铜的糖蛋白,主要存在于α_2—球蛋白部分,可以氧化对苯二胺,具有胺氧化酶的作用。在胶原聚合成纤维的交联反应中,此酶以铜离子为辅基,能促进 链中赖氨酸的胺基氧化,最后导致胶原纤维的形成。故血清中铜兰蛋白活性增高标志着胶原聚合成纤维过程的加剧。医科院卫研所、武医等报导矽肺患者血清铜兰蛋白比正常
