公司作为生产经营活动的主要主体,在社会经济发展中起着重要作用。但公司在生产经营过程中往往会为追求股东利益最大化而滥用权利,从而损害非股东利害关系人及社会的利益,造成一系列的社会、环境问题。这是不符合社会主义核心价值观要求的。作为一种纠偏机制,公司要承担相应的社会责任(即公司在为股东谋取利益的同时也应对股东之外的利害关系人及社会承担一定的义务或责任),才能平衡相关利益,促进经济健康发展,促进社会和谐,达到公司(股东)利益与社会利益“双赢”的结果。
