信息产业是联系宏观经济的重要环节,也是科学技术向生产领域转化的重要渠道,在国民经济建设中显示出至关重要的作用,受到人们的普遍重视。信息产业面对整个社会,负有社会服务的职能。因此,信息系统有责任向决策机关、生产企业以及经济建设的各个行业提供准确、可靠、适用的经济技术信息。经济技术信息与技术经济学的研究工作有密切的联系,属于技术经济研究的范畴。因而,运用技术经济方法研究信息、处理信息,对于信息的传播和使用,对技术与经济的最佳结合有着积极的意义。
