谈到硅谷互联网“客”(Geek)创业中的传奇,PayPal有一号。PayPal在1998年由Peter Thiel与Max Levchin两人创办,2002年成功于纽约上市,并在同年底被eBay以15亿美元买下。PayPal可以说是把第三方支付这个商业模型发扬光大的始祖,包括支付宝等在线支付工具,可以说都受了PayPal的启发。
Speaking of the legendary Silicon Valley Internet “Geek” startup, PayPal One. PayPal was founded in 1998 by Peter Thiel and Max Levchin. It was successfully listed in New York in 2002 and was purchased by eBay for $1.5 billion at the end of the same year. PayPal can be said to be the ancestor of the third-party payment business model to carry forward, including online payment tools such as Alipay, can be said to have been inspired by PayPal.
