初夏,六月的沈阳,春风刚过,天气渐热,然而,鲁美的学术空气却较往年更早地急速升温,一时间国内外专家教授云集鲁美,盛况空前。这当中以装潢设计系为中心的题为“创造性的交流”中美学生招贴设计竞赛最引人关注。美国北德克萨斯大学视觉美术学院教授杰克·斯普拉格(JACK SPRAGUE)和卡拉·塔代斯基(CARCA TEDESCHI)应邀来我院讲学并专门组织指导这次中方学生参赛,鲁美装潢系为主办好这次活动,事先就安排好了必要的课时并投入三个班级参赛,两位系主任孙明副教授和王亚非副教授亲自为美国教授作助教,协助授课和招贴竞赛的辅导及评选。短短三周,设计竞赛获得圆满成功,经过中美双方教授的严格评选,有四位同学的参赛作品获得这次活动特设的特别设计奖,他们获得了由美国FOSSIL服装产品公司专为赞助这次活动而提供的精美奖品。
In the early summer and June in Shenyang, the spring breeze just passed and the weather was getting hotter. However, the academic air of Lumei was rapidly warming up earlier than previous years. For a time, professors from home and abroad gathered in the United States and enjoyed unprecedented prosperity. Among them, the most influential issue for the Sino-American Student Poster Design Contest centered on the Department of Interior Design entitled “Creative Communication”. JACK SPRAGUE and CARCA TEDESCHI, professors of the School of Visual Arts and Science of the University of North Texas, were invited to give lectures in our school and specially organized and instructed the Chinese students to participate in the competition. In order to host this event, we arrange necessary classes in advance and put them into three classes. The two department heads, Associate Professor Sun Ming and Associate Professor Wang Yafei, personally assist professors in the United States to assist in the guidance and selection of lectures and poster competitions. Just three weeks, the design competition was a complete success. After the rigorous selection of professors from both China and the United States, four students’ entries won the ad hoc special design award. They were sponsored by FOSSIL Garment Products Company Exquisite prizes provided by this event.
