The United States Supreme Court is a body of nine senior lawyers. None of the current nine judges held elected public office, most of whom lacked the actual public life experience before the administration of justice. Four of the nine were appointed by the president who resigned because of the impeachment of impeachment, and one was appointed by another president who did not hold the presidency through popular election. As their predecessor did in the past one hundred and seventy-five, they made some of the most significant political decisions in the history of the United States.
