随着人们对英语的广泛重视,英语早已成为高中教学的重要组成部分。然而,高中的英语教学效果却不尽如人意,尤其是英语口语方面。因此,在高中实际的英语教学中,很多英语教师都会强制学生背诵英语课文,学生对此很不理解,家长也不理解,其实教师这样的要求合情合理,它的存在有一定的理论和实际意义。笔者认为背诵不仅是一种好的英语教学方法,也是一种好的英语学习方法,英语教学与学习离不开背诵,尤其是在实行素质教育和新课改的今天,背诵不但不应该受到轻视,而且应该得到进一步的加强。
