Rap art is an important part of Chinese traditional art. As early as the Southern Song Dynasty, the term “rap” appeared as the general name of rap body art, which highlighted the uniqueness of such performing arts “say ” and “sing ”. As a comprehensive art of speaking, singing and performing trinity, rap art has the performance of live, oral and entertainer’s own charm. For a long time, rap art was one of the basic forms of entertainment in the daily life of the Chinese people. However, it has always been regarded as an unprintable path and has no independent status in the academic field. In the modern academic horizon and subject orientation, rap art often becomes a dismembered form that is difficult to survive in different disciplines or as a branch of drama science, which is very unfavorable to its development in the new era. Therefore, rap art should be regarded as an independent second-level subject under the first-class subject of arts so as to facilitate the truly holistic study of rap art as a comprehensive art.
