本文为美国铸造协会参加第40届国际铸造会议(1973年于莫斯科)论文之一的简要报道,介绍了由美国麻省理工学院试验研究的半固体金属的铸造新方法,包括Rheocasting铸造法、Thixocasting铸造法、Compocasting铸造法和Rheorefining精炼法。据报道,Rheocasting和Thixocasting法应用于压铸,可提高压铸模寿命和压铸件质量,应用于铜合金和黑色金属压铸时,意义更大;采用Compocasting法,可以获得复合材料的压铸件;采用Rheorefining法可以降低合金中某些成份的含量,以达精炼金属的目的。
This article is a brief presentation of the American Foundry Association’s participation in one of the papers at the 40th International Foundry Conference (Moscow, 1973), introducing new methods of casting semi-solid metals tested by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including Rheocasting casting, Thixocasting Casting, Compocasting and Rheorefining. It has been reported that the Rheocasting and Thixocasting methods are applied to die-casting to improve the die-casting die life and the quality of die-castings. It is more significant when applied to copper alloy and ferrous metal die-casting. Compocasting method can be used to obtain die- Can reduce the content of some of the ingredients in the alloy, in order to achieve the purpose of refining the metal.
