在小断面隧道爆破中,减少炮眼与自由面的夹角,可以增加破碎度、岩石的爆落量和渣堆的松散度。而在实际上,在跨度不足3米的巷道里,楔形、锥形和扇形等掏槽法由于有较大的角度要求,凿岩台车施展不开,相互干扰大,很难实现;且炮眼深度浅,进度慢,满足不了机械化作业线生产率的要求;直线掏槽炮眼与掌子面垂直,相互平行,能弥补上述大角度掏槽的不足,且可加深炮眼,实行中深孔爆破,充分发挥“三车一机”机械化作业线的生产能力。
