On July 5, 1994, the 8th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People’s Congress examined and adopted and promulgated the Labor Law of the People’s Republic of China, which was officially implemented on January 1, 1995. This is the first basic labor law in our country which has been in existence for 45 years after the founding of the People’s Republic of China and is the landmark legislation for establishing a socialist market economic system.
