As people’s living standards improve, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases become one of the major diseases that threaten human health and life today. Numerous prospective and case-control studies have demonstrated that plasma fibrinogen (Fb) levels are independent risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases [1-3]. Since Humphries et al first reported that Fg gene polymorphisms correlate with plasma levels, the genetic effects of fibrinogen and fibrinogen levels
