Qingjiang Hydropower Development Corporation, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) College of Environmental Science and Engineering and Yangtze River Water Resources Commission Qingjiang Geological Brigade jointly conducted a systematic investigation of karst Qingjiang River Basin. Based on the modern karst theory and taking the carbonate area of the Qingjiang River Basin as a karst system, the authors apply new theories such as karst theory, cave science, karst geochemistry, groundwater dynamics of discontinuous media and fractal geometry, Numerical simulation, simulation and satellite remote sensing information synthesis of new technologies and new methods, which lasted eight years, the karst development mechanism, the history of karst development and related resources and environment made in-depth study of the system
