1985年从江苏镇江农科所西瓜试验田的西瓜花叶病株上分离到二种病毒分离物,试验的代表分离物分别为W_3和W_(40)。 W_3分离物的寄主范围较窄,除葫芦科植物外,只侵染苋色藜引起褪绿黄斑;体外抗性:失毒温度为50—55℃,稀释限点为10(-4),体外存活期为21天;棉蚜(Aphis gossypii),桃蚜(Myzus persicae)以非持久性方式传毒。病毒粒体为线条形,长度为600—750nm;在病叶细胞的超薄切片内可观察到典型的风轮状内含体。与西瓜花叶病毒二号(WMV-2)抗血清呈阳性反应。W_3分离物是西瓜花叶病毒二号的一个株系。 W_(40)分离物的寄主范围广,除葫芦科植物外,还能侵染茄科、菊科、苋科、豆科等作物。失毒温度为55—60℃,稀释限点10~(-3),体外存活期为3天,棉蚜、桃蚜以非持久性方式传病。与黄瓜花叶病毒(CMV)抗血清呈阳性反应。W_(40)分离物为黄瓜花叶病毒的一个株系。 在86年调查田间西瓜花叶病中,WMV-2占病株的70%,CMV占18%,还有4%左右的混合感染病株。

And cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) antiserum was positive. W_ (40) isolate is a cucumber mosaic virus. In 86 years of field watermelon mosaic disease survey, WMV-2 accounted for 70% of the diseased plants, CMV accounted for 18%, there are about 4% of the mixed infected strains.
