客车是一个劳动密集型产业,而中国是一个劳动力集中且价格低廉、原材料丰富的国家,随着WTO脚步的推进,中国的客车也开始大规模地走向世界,国外先进工作者的零部件和优秀的人才也开始进入国内客车行业,成为中国客车国际化的重要支撑。现在有人预测,不久的将来中国将成为客车制造大国,也将成为出口大国。早在2004年,就有美国客户开始对中国的客车行业进行考察,但在走访了许多国内客车企业之后,却因为中国客车企业的反应速度停止了脚步。2005年9月,无锡安源进行了第一次侧翻试验并获得了出口澳大利亚官方ADE认证,这也让美国的客户看到了希望;2006年10月12日,无锡安源汽车有限公司在无锡举办了安源客车出口美国交车仪式, 200辆客车的框架协议、21辆整车的前期出口,安源客车,走出了中国客车打入世界顶级发达国家的第一步。
