Pier design often need to calculate the stress section of the redistribution of stress problems. That section refers to the eccentric eccentric compression without considering the case of workers under tensile stress, to re-determine the cross-sectional area of the compression zone, calculate the maximum compressive stress. We generally use multiple iterative approximation method for its numerical solution. In recent years, the standard design of rectangular, T-shaped, U-shaped, octagonal cross-sectional forms made a lot of calculations, this paper intends to summarize these calculations into a common process
