柴油机在动力性、经济性和可靠性方面,具有优越的性能。使得以柴油机为动力源的汽车的数量逐渐增多,因此其排放物已成为大气的重要污染源,它对人类健康和生态环境已构成了严重的威胁。为了降低柴油机排放物,保护环境,世界上许多发达国家都作了很多的研究工作,并取得了很大的进展。但随着越来越严格的排放标准的制定,各种与排放控制相矛盾的摩擦学问题越来越突出,大多数柴油机排放控制技术应用了摩擦学的研究成果。
