Objective: To evaluate the relationship between serum uric acid level (SUA) and coronary collateral circulation (CCVs) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods: ACS patients were graded according to Rentrop scoring system. Rentrop 0 was defined as having no CCVs (group A) and Rentrop grade ≥ 1 as having CCVs (group B), with Rentrop 0-1 grade being defined as poor CCVs and Rentrop grade 2 being defined as good CCVs. The relationship between SUA level and CCVs in patients with ACS was analyzed. Results: A total of 786 ACS patients were enrolled in this study. A total of 299 non-diabetic and non-hypertensive ACS patients were enrolled in this study, including 156 in group A and 143 in group B. 223 patients in poor CCVs and good CCVs were And 76 cases. Poor and well-established CCVs were significantly associated with low SUA (P <0.01). Conclusion: High levels of SUA may be an important factor in the establishment of CCVs in patients with ACS.
