飞行风扇厂的前身是南海县平洲区的一家只有几十人生产电动机、发电机和通用设备等产品的合作工厂。1979年全国整顿企业,由于不是机电部所属企业,所生产的产品国家不收购,因此必须下马或改产其他产品。改产什么产品?经过对市场的调查研究,发现吊风扇是当时市场上的紧缺商品,而且市场的需求量很大。这家企业的领导当机立断,做出了改产吊风扇的正确决策,与此同时,又把原名南海机器厂改为飞行风扇厂。改产吊风扇初期,由于设备简陋,技术落后,连吊风扇的零部件都不能生产。所谓生产吊风扇,实际上只是从市场购买零部件进行装配。尽管厂名已定为飞行,但是没有飞行的条件,飞行又谈何容易!然而出人意料,经过全厂职工几年的努力开拓,飞行风扇厂奇迹般的发展起来了。

The leader of this company immediately took a decision and made the right decision to change the ceiling fan. At the same time, it changed the former name Nanhai Machine Factory to a flying fan factory. In the initial stage of the conversion of the ceiling fan, due to poor equipment and backward technology, even the components of the ceiling fan could not be produced. The so-called production of ceiling fans is actually only buying components from the market for assembly. Although the name of the plant has been set as a flight, it is not easy to fly without the flight conditions! However, unexpectedly, after several years of hard work by the entire factory staff, the flying fan plant has developed miraculously.
