一改革开放以来,被誉为广东“四小虎”的东莞、中山、顺德、南海四市、县社会和经济发展如虎添翼,腾飞巨变,遐迩闻名。1990年底“四小虎”总人口431.9万,只占全省总人口6.9%,但社会总产值占全省14.7%;国民生产总值十年来平均每年增长22.5%,既高于全省12.3%的速度,更快于全国7.7%的增长速度;“四小虎”的许多经济指标和人均水平在全省甚至全国各县(市)中都位居榜首。
Since the reform and opening up, the four cities of Dongguan, Zhongshan, Shunde and South China Sea, known as the “Four Little Tigers” in Guangdong Province, have enjoyed both social and economic development. By the end of 1990, the total population of “Si Hu Ti” stood at 4.39 million, accounting for only 6.9% of the total population in the province, but its total social output value accounted for 14.7% of the province’s GDP. Its GNP increased by 22.5% per annum over the past 10 years, up from 12.3% Speed, faster than the national growth rate of 7.7%; “four tigers” many economic indicators and per capita level in the province and even the counties (cities) in the country all topped the list.
