目前,在802.11n标准上有两大技术阵营,即WWiSE(WorldWideSpectrumEfficiency)联盟和TGnSync联盟。目前,802．1n工作组已经采纳了一个由扩展无线联盟(EWC)整合的组合方案,该联盟是由Broadcorn,英特尔以及其他Wi-Fi供应商领导的地业组织,802．11n1．0版草案是两方面方案的有力结合,已经被IEEE采纳WWiSE获得了德州仪器、Broadcom、Conexant、STMicro、Airgo和Bermai的支持,而此前曾提交自有标准的摩托岁拉也加入了这一阵营；而TGnSync的支持者则包括英特尔、Atheros、Agere、英飞凌、思科、高通、北电网络、三菱、索尼、松下、飞利浦、三星、三洋和东芝。
