The microstructure and properties of 20CrMnTi steel gear blank containing Mo were studied and analyzed. It was proved that the formation of granular bainite after normalizing the steel resulted in higher hardness (usually 260 ~ 280HB), which made the processing of the blank difficult . To this end, this paper presents a new isothermal normalizing process, its hardness and 20CrMnTi steel after normalizing the same hardness to meet the machining needs
