近几年来武汉市科技企业孵化器的建设与发展呈现出蓬勃发展态势:全市现有各类科技企业孵化器33家,其中综合性企业孵化器16家,专业技术孵化器6家,如东湖开发区的IC设计孵化器、硚口的新材料孵化器等,面向特定创业对象服务的专门企业孵化器11家,如留学生创业园、大学科技园等,13个行政区和两个国家级开发区全部建立了科技企业孵化器;拥有孵化场地面积55万平方米,在孵企业1000家,占全市科技型中小企业总数的1/3;累计毕业企业近300家,为武汉五大产业基地的建设和新经济增长带的形成输送了一批具有成长性和市场竞争力的
