稻属中单纯由细胞质基因控制的性状极为罕见。新白绿苗是在秀水11/春江03杂交F4株系中发现的天然突变体,基本特征苗期为白色,随着秧龄的增加,渐渐转绿成正常。以其为母本与一般品种、标记基因系杂交,F1、F2、F3各世代植株均表现为白绿苗;反之以其为父本则各世代均无白绿苗分离,在与标记基因系杂交的各组合F2群体中,标记基因呈正常孟德尔遗传。表明:该白绿苗突变体为细胞质遗传。本文进一步讨论了水稻细胞质白绿苗基因作为细胞质标记在原生质体融合、杂交稻育种应用的可能性
The characters traced solely by the cytoplasmic genes in the genus Oryza were extremely rare. New white-green seedlings are natural mutants found in F4 lines of Xiushui 11 / Chunjiang 03 hybrids. The basic characteristics of white seedlings are white at seedling stage, and turn green gradually to normal with the increase of seedling age. All the F1, F2 and F3 generations showed white and green shoots as their female parents. However, no white and green seedlings were isolated from each generation. However, In each F2 population of hybrids, the marker gene showed normal Mendelian inheritance. The results showed that the white-green mutant was cytoplasm. This article further discussed the possibility of using cytoplasmic white-green shoot seedlings as protoplast fusion and hybrid rice breeding
