By using the inverse Fourier transform, the transient displacement of radiation in a transversely isotropic medium with a point source perpendicular to the axis of symmetry is calculated. Wave-to-time matches well-published expressions for group velocity, including multiples to quasi-SV peaks. For severe anisotropic gypsum-mudstone stratified media, the maximum amplitude of quasi-SV waves is near the turning point. The quasi-SV wave waveform at the turning point is a Hilbert transform of the force over time. For Austin chalk and gypsum-mudstone, the amplitude of the SH wave varies with direction.
