纳米技术和材料已经渗透到人们生活的方方面面,“纳米”俨然成为新世纪的热词。科学家正想办法把它用于传统医药,更大程度地造福人类。纳米氧化铁颗粒被注入小鼠后,小鼠体内的微小肿瘤在核磁共振仪的扫描下清晰可辨。实际上,纳米氧化铁颗粒是目前已经成功应用于临床的增强造影剂之一。1996年美国食品药品管理局率先通过了两种基于磁性氧化铁纳米材料的药物,其中一种为口服型,另一种为静脉注射型。
Nanotechnology and materials have infiltrated all aspects of people’s lives and “nano” has become a hot word in the new century. Scientists are looking for ways to use it for traditional medicine, to a greater extent for the benefit of mankind. After the nano-iron oxide particles are injected into the mouse, tiny tumors in the mouse are clearly discernible under the scan of the nuclear magnetic resonance (MR). In fact, nano-iron oxide particles is one of the contrast enhancing agents that have been successfully applied clinically. In 1996 the US Food and Drug Administration took the lead through two kinds of drugs based on magnetic iron oxide nanomaterials, one of which is oral and the other is intravenous.
