英语作为一门语言类学科,最主要的教学目标是培养学生英语运用及表达的综合能力。长期以来,我国传统英语课堂教学中存在诸多弊端,影响教学效果的进一步提升。在课堂教学活动中,教师往往只注重学生知识积累与记忆的能力,而忽略了学生英语运用表达的综合能力及情感体验,造成大部分学生理论与实践的脱节。长此以往,学生就会索然无味,逐渐失去对英语学习的兴趣,不利于学生英语学习能力的提升。如何提升高中英语教学质量,满足社会对综合型人才的需求成为困扰广大英语教师的共同难题。通过对传统教学方法弊端的总结及对高中阶段学生学习特点的了解,作者认为情景教学法是一种提高高中英语教学行之有效的教学方法。
English as a language discipline, the main teaching goal is to develop students’ ability to use and express English. For a long time, there are many shortcomings in the teaching of traditional English in our country, which affects the further improvement of teaching effectiveness. In the classroom teaching activities, teachers tend to focus only on students’ ability to accumulate and remember knowledge, while ignoring the comprehensive ability and emotional experience expressed by students’ use of English, resulting in the disconnection of most students’ theory and practice. Over time, students will be boring, gradually losing interest in learning English, is not conducive to improving students’ English learning ability. How to improve the quality of English teaching in senior high schools and meet the needs of the society for comprehensive talents has become a common problem plaguing the majority of English teachers. Through summarizing the disadvantages of traditional teaching methods and understanding of the characteristics of high school students’ learning, the author thinks that situational teaching method is an effective teaching method to improve high school English teaching.
