This study was conducted by Dr. Jiemin Ma, an epidemiologist at the American Cancer Society and colleagues, using the latest National Health Survey and the 2010 US Census data and using the National Lung Screening Test (NLST) for patients with a patient age of 55 ~ 74 years old, smoking at least 30 packs a year, still smoking or having quit smoking for the past 15 years.
