The purpose of emergency personnel in the process of disposal of radiation accidents although there is a certain degree of protection, but will be subject to different levels of radiation exposure, in order to accurately estimate the equivalent dose received. Methods A thermoluminescence dose detector was applied to simulate various parts of the human body to estimate the equivalent dose of emergency personnel during the emergency treatment by measuring the dose. Results The whole body was irradiated with an equivalent dose of 121.75μSv, far below the annual effective dose (20 mSv). Conclusions Emergency treatment and operation procedures for such accidents are feasible and the protective measures applied are effective. In particular, they meet the emergency requirements on the control of close-range operation time and play a decisive role in reducing the equivalent dose received by emergency personnel. For radiation accidents The reasons for the proposed protection measures.
