This article reviews the history of the organization of world planning academies in the 20th century and points out the necessity and historical significance of establishing a global organization for planning education in the 21st century. From the analysis of the exchanging papers of the first world planning colleges, we can see the three major trends and main disciplines of future planning education from the perspective of global planning education
