在镇党委书记刘焕忠的带领下,房山区琉璃河镇党委认真贯彻执行党和国家的方针政策,努力学习和实践“三个代表”重要思想,团结带领全镇广大干部群众,在推进农村改革、发展、稳定的各项工作中,做出了比较突出的成绩,受到了全镇人民的赞扬。 作为镇党委书记,刘焕忠同志始终把自己看成人民群众的公仆,坚持全心全意为人民服务的宗旨。自2000年8月到任以来,在一年多时间里,他带领镇党委一班人,一心扑在工作上,为群众办了大量的实事,改变了琉璃河破街烂镇的落后面貌,环境得到改善,全镇经济社会各项事业得到全面发展。2002年,全镇实现国内生产总值8.45亿元,同比增长21.6％;财政收入完成4000万元,同比增长25％,创历史最高水平;固定资产投资完成2.65亿元,同比增长18.7％。
