非洲的戈壁滩上有一种叫做依米的小花。那里干旱炎热的气候和土壤只适合生长根系较庞大的植物,而依米花却除外,它只有一条细长的根茎。在那样的热带气候当中,又在茫茫戈壁滩上,它得用五年的时间才能完成根部对泥土的植入,到了第六年它才吐蕊。让人惊叹敬重的是,依米花非常奇特,每朵花有四个花瓣,一个花瓣一种颜色,红、黄、蓝、白,煞是娇艳绚丽。更让人惊叹的是这种经过漫长的积蓄、扎根才开出的四色小花,花期只有两天,两天过后依米花连花带茎一起枯萎死亡。这种花在当地象征着一生一次的美丽和一生一次的辉煌,它照样是无怨无悔,全情投入。五年扎根、六年吐蕊、两天花期,一生都在恶劣的自然坏境下生长的依米花仅仅是为了两天短暂的花期。它的美丽让我们无法想像这需要怎样的顽强和耐力。
