From October 28 to October 31, 2002, the 5th International Conference on Cement and Concrete, organized by the Chinese Society of Silicate, was held at the Shanghai Seagull International Convention Center. More than 400 delegates from over 30 countries attended the meeting. The conference published more than 190 academic papers. The conference listened to the keynote speeches by the famous experts and scholars at home and abroad on the latest scientific and technological achievements such as cement chemistry, cement production technology and equipment, high performance concrete, concrete durability and concrete engineering of the Three Gorges Dam and its development trend.
