For many Chinese literati in 1949, it is bound to be a long journey, but also exciting and exciting day. This year, Ye Shengtao was 55 years old. Along with many progressive people, he defied all difficulties and dangers and went to the Jiefang District like Juan Quan. However, after all, Ye Shengtao was just a democracy. From his Diary of North Travels, he could see the kind of yearning, emotions and doubts about a strange future in his heart. Perhaps this is closer to the truth of history. We can even revisit the body temperature of the generation of intellectuals with life, monologue of the soul, their sadness and joy, their dreams and their illusions. In this sense, “Diary of North Travel” provides us with a spiritual record.
