近年来,涉及到文物的犯罪活动较为猖厥。这恐怕与两个因素有关:一是文物的经济价值为越来越多的人所认识,出于经济目的的盗窃、盗掘文物、走私文物的犯罪活动因此增加,二是文物的经济价值的模糊性,使得一些人认为以此为行贿受贿物较为安全、隐蔽,有可能因此规避或减轻犯罪事实暴露后的惩罚。所以,涉案文物的鉴定定级及文物价值估算工作日益增多。
