民国时期,钟祥流传着这样一句话:钟祥城里有“三怪”:赵、关、戴。赵即赵鹏飞,弃高官不做,回故里为民;关即关云门,学军不从军,拒为日军效力;戴即戴之麟,痛恨蒋介石,向毛泽东呈书。三人都满腹经纶,胸怀鸿鹄之志。其品行高洁,一生追求光明,极富正义感,不随世俗,不趋炎附势。三人因言行上有些独特,不合时宜,便被戏称为“三怪”,其轶闻轶事流传甚广。其实,三人都是当时钟祥的精英人物,曾为钟祥的文化、教育和公益事业作出过积极贡献,特别是编修民国时期的《钟祥县志》,三人更是功不可没。

Three people are full of economy, the ambition of Che-hung. Its noble character, the pursuit of a lifetime of bright, very sense of justice, not follow the secular, not inflammation attached to power. Because of the words and deeds of some unique, outdated, they were dubbed the “three strange”, anecdote anecdote spread widely. In fact, all three were the elite figures of the time. They had made positive contributions to Zhongxiang’s culture, education and public welfare undertakings. In particular, they compiled “Zhongxiang County” in the period of the Republic of China.
