为了节约人力物力,减少稻种资源种植过程引起的人为和机械混杂,提高保种质量,在解决3年轮换种植1次的基础上(《广东农业科学》1981,4),结合广东高温多湿的气候特点,继续进行稻种资源多年贮藏试验。材料是广东早造籼稻地方品种(早籼贮存难度比晚籼为大)。1976年将收获的2245个品种烘干至含水量少于10%,放置在有足量硅胶的干燥器内,常温贮存,至1983年早造田间播植时测定各品种的发芽率,与1978年收获的2084个品种,同样烘干至含水量少于10%,种子用塑料袋(内放硅胶)密封包装置铁皮箱
