应用回顾性队列方法对南通市２个棉纺厂生产工人的死因进行调查，在２３７５４名工人中，男性肺癌，脑血管病的死亡率显著增高，心脏病也显著增高，女性肺癌和脑血管病的死亡率显著增高，心脏病和消化系统疾病的死亡人类也高于预期值，但差异无显著性。
